INITIAL CONSULTATION
THE WINGLESS BIRD offers a free introductory visit whereupon an initial consultation is scheduled in advance to your need for THE WINGLESS BIRD's services. 20 minutes or so is spent getting to know you & your cat{s} & familiarising ourselves with your home {within reason} to create an individually-tailored package. This ensures the highest quality of care whilst giving you
complete peace of mind.

Visiting your home enables us to familiarise ourselves with your cats feeding areas, play areas, sleeping areas, storage spaces, hidey-holes & {if need be} garden.
​
INITIAL CONSULTATIONS ARE NEVER TAKEN BY PHONE OR EMAIL.

"WHO WILL ENTER MY HOME WHILST I'M AWAY?"
​
THE WINGLESS BIRD is made up of a very small & personal team. Nobody but your assigned sitter will have permission to enter your home & care for your cat{s} whilst you are away.
​
YOU MUST NOTIFY THE WINGLESS BIRD IN ADVANCE IF YOU HAVE GIVEN A NEIGHBOUR, FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER PERMISSION TO ENTER YOUR HOME.

KEY COLLECTION
​
We never expect immediate exchange. Keys can be collected given 72hrs notice to departure.
Clients are always welcome to post their keys, in a discreet envelope, to our personal address
- you will always be notified immediately upon receiving them.

KEYS SHOULD NEVER BE TAGGED WITH YOUR FULL ADDRESS.
ASSIGNED A CODE WITH NO VISIBLE IDENTIFICATION OF YOURS AGAINST THEM
ALL KEYS COLLECTED ARE STORED IN A SAFE LOCATION.

"CAN I KEEP A KEY WITH YOU FOR FUTURE VISITS?"

Yes. 90% of our clients are all-year-round regulars, frequently travelling, & call for
THE WINGLESS BIRDs services on a regular basis. If you'd like to take the fuss out of re-organising key collection, you may wish to have a key cut that can be stored for future callouts.
This comes with the added benefit that if you should ever find yourself locked out or lose your own, you will always have a friendly neighbour with a spare key on hand ♥

DOORS, KEYS & HOUSE ALARMS

Ease of access is always tested upon an initial consultation. Every door has its own character;
the changing of seasons can bring little quirks & therefore require extra attention in one way or another... However, Temperamental locks must be fixed & in fully working condition before your departure to prevent any complications.

​KEY RETURNS
​
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL KEYS EVER BE LEFT INSIDE OR POSTED
INTO YOUR HOUSE ON COMPLETION OF THE WINGLESS BIRD'S SERVICES.
It is important for TWB to know that you have arrived home safely
& reunited with your little house lion{s}!

"MY FLIGHT HAS BEEN DELAYED!"

Fear not! Upon the final day of visits you will receive a text & email to remind you that visits are due to end. If you should, for any reason, require extra visits please do contact us as soon as your plans have changed. THE WINGLESS BIRD services will continue until they are no longer needed. No additional charges/hidden fees are applied to the standard or holiday rates.

PAYMENT

THE WINGLESS BIRD provides manual & automated online payment options via our client portal & app, using Sweet Spearmint Software + WePay to provide a seamless & safe experience.
Clients can make online transactions with their credit or debit card; Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover card.
